Kris Paper, Chief Information Officer Burns & McDonnell
With more than 30 years of experience in the Information Technology and Utilities industries, Kris is an invaluable member of our Board. She has implemented new technology platforms that support renewable energy and energy efficiency projects for Burns & McDonnell engineers and clients. Paper’s success at Burns & McDonnell stems from a strong IT background, rich in education and experience. Paper spent nearly 20 years with Aquila implementing technology advancements to enable delivery of energy efficiency and renewable energy products and services.
Bud Jeffress, Chief Financial Officer and VP Operations Kauffman Center for the Performing Arts
Jeffress held a variety of positions in accounting, audit, financial and project management with Kansas City Power and Light, UtiliCorp United/Aquila, and as CFO of Union Station Kansas City, Inc. prior to assuming his current role with Kauffman Center. In this role, he oversees finances and theatre and facility operations for this state-of-the-art performing arts center currently under construction in downtown Kansas City. Bud brings broad financial and facilities energy efficiency knowledge to our Advisory Board.
Susan Woehrman, Chief Executive Officer PrimePath
Susan brings extensive project management, product development, and human resource management experience to our Advisory Board. She has more than 20 years of experience covering a variety of industries including data, utilities and engineering. She provides excellent knowledge in building successful businesses, implementing quality projects, and developing strong teams.
Steve A. Spesard, Senior Cyber Technical and Compliance Advisor
Steve Spesard has over 20 years of information technology experience within the cyber security and networking disciplines. Steve is currently serving as a senior cyber security technical and compliance advisor within the healthcare field. Prior to moving to the healthcare field, he had the responsibility of protecting a portion on the nation’s energy infrastructure while serving at the Midwest ISO as Senior Manager of Cyber Security and NERC CIP Compliance. Steve managed several key functions that protected the midwest electrical power grid that included cyber security, networking, compliance and access management.
Ron Hinsley
Ron has more than 25 years in the electric and gas industry leading several information technology initiatives in the United States and abroad. His background includes implementation of customer systems, power trading markets, energy management, market management, congestion rights and credit monitoring systems. He also has broad experience with middleware platforms and business process implementations.
