Essent’s business unit New Energy covers the activities innovation, electric transportation and wind power. Belonging to the strategic core business fields, Essent Wind engages itself on a long-term basis - from scouting of locations via planning and building to operation of on- and offshore wind farms. With an installed capacity of ca. 600 MW Essent Wind belongs to the largest wind power companies in NW Europe. Essent Wind works also on the development of the offshore wind farm „Nordsee-Ost“.
