Terry Peterson has over 35 years of experience in PV and other solar power research with gov't labs, public-private collaboratives, and private industry. He is an expert on thin-film PV and is well versed in a wide range of other PV and solar thermal electric technologies. His specialties include evaluation of new solar technologies and assessment of technology risk in new solar businesses. His most recent public activities include serving as (1) Chairman for the U.S. DOE 2005 & 2007 Solar R&D Prog Peer Reviews, (2) a member of New Mexico’s Concentrating Solar Power Task Force, and (3) a core-team member of the Western Governors’ Assoc. Solar Task Force supporting implementation of the WGA’s resolution to install 30 GW of clean energy by 2015. His current and recent clients include the Electric Power Research Institute, the Calif. Energy Commission, the U.S. Dept. of Energy, several State governments, utilities, and numerous private-investment analysts. Previously he led work at EPRI for 17 years on PV and solar thermal-electric technology RD&D.
